The project began when Hobie Cat Europe tasked a panel of world-class sailors, naval architects and sailmakers to create a cat capable of dominating F-18 racecourses. High-performance touches include wave-piercing bows, an integrated wing-mast section, high-aspect ratio daggerboards and rudders, dual trapezes, a spinnaker launching and retrieval system, and seriously fast hulls.
