The righting line is a system of stretch cords and pulleys under the deck that keeps the righting line virtually out of sight until needed. If you need it, just pull on the line and right the boat. When you are through, it automatically retracts.

In the event of a capsize, the Hobie Bob provides flotation at the top of the mast and greatly minimizes the risk of "turtling" (flipping completely upside-down).. The Hobie Bob is held on with a couple of straps that are secured with side squeeze clips, and it can easily be removed for storage or transport.
